PORTSALON GOLF CLUB: Located in a truly spectacular setting between Ballymostocker beach and the Knockalla mountains, Portsalon truly deserves the well worn title “hidden gem.” A relatively short but still testing links, your game will receive a stern test, especially if the wind is up. Portsalon Golf Club was established in 1891 and is one of the nine founder members of the Golfing Union of Ireland, the oldest golfing union in the world. The course was originally designed in the 1880's by Portrush Professional Charles Thompson. It was then redesigned in 2000 by the renowned Pat Ruddy.
