AILSA COURSE, Turnberry Resort: The Ailsa Course has hosted four British Open Championships (most recently in 2009), and was immortalized by the Watson verses Nicklaus Open dual in 1977 (and Watson’s epic run in 2009). Ailsa Course is one of Scotland’s finest true links layouts. Turnberry’s secondary course, the Kintyre Course, was also a qualifying venue for the 2004 Open Championship at Royal Troon.
