LEVEN LINKS GOLF COURSE: Leven Golfing Society and Leven Thistle Golf Club both play Leven Links, run by Leven Links Joint Committee. This is a private course, established in 1820 at the Promenade. It is a pre-qualifying course for the Open when it is held at St Andrews. The 18 hole course is 6436 yards, par 71. Leven Golfing Society is the11th oldest golf club in the world. Leven Links has hosted many national and international competitions as well as hosting local final qualifying for the Open Championship.
